Your hair is the barometer of your health but if you find it more on your pillow or during the shower, there is no requirement to ring an alarm bell for you. On an average, losing 100 strands of hair is a normal thing, which happens when you either comb your hair or apply hair styling creams. However, new hairs grow in that place and the cycle goes on.

But what if you are facing more hair loss and don’t really have any idea on how to control hair fall? Nothing comes to your rescue than a keen knowledge about maintaining healthy hair growth. But for that, you need to know the type of your hair and the root cause of the hair fall. Normally, hair fall can be hereditary, but it can also happen due to lack of proper nutrients or environment. Your hair care routine also plays a vital role for those who are not blessed with naturally beautiful hair.

Once you know the reason behind your hair problem, treatment won’t be a major deal. So, here is what you should do when you face such a disaster of losing hair.

Right your diet: Our body works as a machine and the food we take is the charge it needs to perform. Hence a healthy diet comes first whenever you face any issue related to your health. Our hair requires lots of minerals in the right proportion for its proper growth. Hence increase the intake of protein-rich food, fatty acids and vitamins. Also, drinks lots of water to keep your body well hydrated.

Say no to cosmetics: Cosmetics are indeed shortcuts to a beautiful us. But what we forget is that it comes with too many chemicals that damage the structure of hair or skin. So, minimise the use of unnecessary products like hair wax, styling cream, hair spray, or other and let it bounce naturally. Of course, party and events are an exception.

Don’t let dirt win: A proper hair care routine should always include the amount of wash you provide it per week. On an average, you should wash your hair around 5 times in a month but this isn’t possible for those with an oily scalp. The secretion of sweat makes the hair dirty and hence a more frequent shampooing is required. Whenever you wash your hair, use the right product that suits you.

Don’t be too harsh: Whenever you shampoo your hair, the pores open up and your hair remains in its weakest condition then. Combing right after shampooing is indeed a stupid idea although we love the wet look of our hair.     

Get rid of those white flakes: One of the reasons or the root cause of hair fall is a flaky scalp and the presence of dandruff happens due to the dirt that accumulates on the scalp. Dandruff may occur due to various reasons and you just can’t help falling off of those irritating white flakes on your shoulder. Increasing dandruff also leads to scratching, which weaken the scalp and causes hair to fall off. In order to eradicate dandruff completely, you should keep your scalp clean and hydrated. Massaging your hair with warm oil can be very effective, as it can provide the required moisture to the scalp and also gets absorbed easily. Also, you can take the help of the natural ingredients like lemon juice, fenugreek soaked water, baking soda and other to get rid of dandruff.

Though the solution seems a bit far, having patience and working on it regularly will show you the positive results. After all, no one can afford to lose the crowning glory by neglecting it.
